Position Overview
This graduate opportunity sits at the intersection of technology and trading within the ICAP Relative Value (ICRV) Fixed Income execution team, part of the TP ICAP Group – a global leader in market infrastructure. You will spend approximately 70% of your time on technology, analytics, and tool development, with a 30% rotation into trade execution, including a comprehensive year-long training program leading to full brokerage registration. This role is ideal for an autonomous, detail-oriented candidate with a passion for data and a keen interest in how technology powers modern trading.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust Excel-based applications for pricing, valuation, and risk management, using advanced formulas, data models, and VBA.

Architect reproducible workflows to ingest, clean, and validate market and trade data, ensuring access to accurate, real-time analytics.

Create and maintain BPMN diagrams to visualize and document desk workflows.

Analyze daily workflows to identify inefficiencies and develop automated tools to streamline processes.

Assist in integrating desk-specific tools with core trading systems to maintain reliable data feeds and support feature testing.

Ensure timely input of trades, resolve trade queries, and maintain up-to-date trade records during live execution.

Provide live quotes to traders and liaise with clients to deliver an efficient broking service.

Support additional tasks as required to meet business needs, contributing to operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
-
Degree-level education in a technology-based or highly numerical/analytical discipline with finance elements.

Demonstrable passion for data with the ability to interpret complex quantitative information and communicate it effectively.

Proven software development skills with experience in scripting, macros, or similar programming environments.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data modeling, and VBA.

Foundational understanding of global financial markets and fixed income concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain operational risk controls.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional language skills (both verbal and written).

Solid understanding of statistics.

Experience through internships or projects supporting front office trading desks or execution workflows.

Exposure to Python and/or VBA, with familiarity in SQL and R considered a plus.

Understanding of AI models provided by marquee brands.
